Louisiana Fish Fry Dirty Rice Mix 8 oz (4 Pack)

Ingredients

Enriched long grain parboiled rice, enriched bleached wheat flour, corn starch, dried onion, salt, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, monosodium glutamate, spices, caramel color, dried garlic, natural flavor.

Cooking Directions — Dirty Rice

• In a 4 qt. saucepan, brown 1 lb. ground meat; ensure meat reaches 165°F. Drain.
• Add 2 ¼ cups water and LA Fish Fry Dirty Rice Entrée Mix.
• Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook 20–25 minutes. Stir before serving.

Gumbo Uses

For chicken & sausage gumbo: combine 6 cups cold water or chicken stock and LA Fish Fry Gumbo & Rice Entrée Mix in a 4 qt. pot. Stir while bringing to a boil. Add 2 lb. thoroughly cooked chicken and/or sausage (to 165°F). Bring to a second boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender. For seafood gumbo: follow same steps using 2 lb. uncooked seafood; ensure seafood reaches 145°F. Add oysters at end if desired.
