Cooking directions
- Dice 1 lb. smoked sausage or ham.
- In a 4 qt. pot, add meat and mix to 5 cups water. Stir and bring to a boil.
- Reduce to LOW, cover and cook 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover and cook until beans are tender and sauce is creamy. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Serve over cooked rice.
