Thawing Instructions
- Thaw thoroughly before cooking.
- Refrigerator thaw: remove from box and thaw 48–72 hours.
- Rapid thaw: place in a clean trash can liner and submerge in cool water for 6–9 hours.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place breast side up on a greased rack in a roasting pan; shield wings and legs with foil and tent with foil (not tucked).
- Bake covered 2 hours, then uncovered 1.5 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Optional: baste with butter during the last hour; rest 45 minutes before serving. For slicing, allow an extra 20–30 minutes rest, remove netting, and slice ½”–¾” thick.
