Boiling Instructions
- Use enough water to cover seafood; add seasoning and bring to a rolling boil.
- Add seafood, return to a rolling boil, boil 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let stand 25 minutes in liquid.
Steaming Instructions
- Put 3-1/2 inches of water in pot and bring to a boil; cover tightly.
- Add seafood when steam first escapes; when steam returns, time shrimp 8–10 minutes and crabs/crawfish 10–12 minutes.
- For a styrofoam chest: layer seafood and seasoning, cover, and let stand 12 minutes.
