Easy Chicken & Sausage Gumbo
Pre-cook 2–3 lbs. of chicken and/or sausage. In a 4-quart pot add 2 to 2½ quarts of cold chicken stock or water to the gumbo mix. When mix is dissolved, cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and serve over cooked rice.
Seafood Gumbo Instructions
In a 4-quart pot, combine 2 quarts of water and the gumbo mix. Mix well and bring to a boil. Add 2 lbs. of seafood, return to a rolling boil for 3–4 minutes, then remove from heat. (If oysters are desired, add at this time.) Let stand covered at least 30 minutes. Serve over cooked rice.
Just add your choice of meat or seafood and serve over rice.
