Zatarain’s Root Beer Concentrate (4 oz) is a thick, creamy extract made with natural and artificial flavors to produce New Orleans–style root beer. One bottle makes up to 5 gallons of root beer and can also be used to flavor desserts such as ice cream floats, cupcakes, cookies, and candy.

Pitcher method (quart)
Shake well. To make one quart: use 1/2 tablespoon concentrate, 8 heaping tablespoons sugar (or sweetener to taste), then add water to equal one quart. Excellent with sparkling water.
Old‑fashioned bottled method (5 gallons)
Mix 5 gallons lukewarm water, 3–4 lbs white sugar (to taste), 1 bottle concentrate and 1 package beer yeast (5 g) dissolved in warm water. Strain into heavy glass bottles, cap securely, lay bottles down and allow to stand at room temperature about 24 hours (test carbonation), then refrigerate when desired carbonation is reached.

A: We carry Zatarain's Root Beer Extract rather than ready-to-drink root beer. One 4 oz bottle can make up to 5 gallons, and the label includes pitcher and old-fashioned bottle directions.
Q: Do You "ACTUALLY" Have "ZATARIAN Root Beer Extract in Stock????" How Many Bottles???? How Much Per Bottle???? For Your System "WOULDN'T COMPLY WITH ME," So I'm Assuming You "DON'T," Boarding On "FALSE ADVERTISING!?!?"
A: The Zatarain's root beer extract has been discontinued. If you’re seeing “Get Stock Alert” or “Notify Me” instead of the “Add to Cart” button, that means the product is currently out of stock. Q: I love this root beer, but I’m curious is there a way I could make this as a water enhancer? I have an Infuze hydration bottle with a cartridge to place water enhancers into do it flavored your water. Many thanks in advance for your reply.
A: This concentrate is intended to be diluted according to the bottle directions, and we have not verified it for use inside an Infuze cartridge. You can dilute a small amount in drinking water to taste, but please check the Infuze manufacturer's instructions before putting concentrate into the cartridge.
