Use the included directions to achieve a thick or thin crust: for a thick crust, dip chicken in a batter of 2 beaten eggs and 1 can evaporated milk, then shake in a bag with Chicken Fry or roll to coat. Fry in hot shortening in a skillet or deep fat at 375°F for 5–7 minutes per side. For a thinner crust, omit the batter and roll or shake chicken in Chicken Fry; fry as above.
Also recommended: use the mix on other fried foods to add New Orleans spicy flavor. Ingredients: ENRICHED WHEAT FLOUR (NIACIN, IRON (REDUCED), THIAMINE MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, FOLIC ACID), SALT, SPICES, MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE.
