Simple stovetop preparation
- Precook 1 lb. meat of your choice to 165 °F for chicken or 160 °F for sausage; seafood need not be precooked.
- Add meat or seafood to 6 cups water and bring to a boil.
- Stir in Gumbo & Rice Mix, return to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add oysters if desired, let stand 5 minutes, then serve.
Nutrition note: serving size 25 g (dry mix only). About 8 servings per container. Sodium 880 mg per serving. Store as directed on package.
