Simple preparation
- Precook 1 lb. chicken, pork, or sausage to recommended internal temps (165 °F for chicken; 160 °F for pork/sausage).
- Combine meat with 2½ cups water and bring to a boil.
- Add jambalaya mix, return to boil, then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes, then serve.
