Shipping restrictions & permits

• Live shipments are not permitted to Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, or Minnesota without a permit (only boiled crawfish allowed in MN).
• Oregon residents may obtain a Crayfish Transport Permit from ODFW.
• Colorado allows live crawfish shipments as of January 2024 but may require a special import license.

Handling, purge & boil guidance

Rinse each sack with cold water upon arrival and store in a well-drained cooler with ice packs. To purge, add one 16 oz. can of salt per sack, soak 8–10 minutes, then rinse. To boil, bring a pot to a rolling boil with seasoning of choice, add crawfish for about 5 minutes, then turn off heat and let soak 20–25 minutes.

Dead-loss disclaimer: Expect about 4–5 lbs dead per sack in cooler months and in June; 2–4 lbs in warmer weather. If you receive more, submit a video and support ticket.
