The Louisiana Original. This sauce is a favorite of my family; characteristics of the sauce is it is concentrated, so you will likely want to dilute it 4 parts sauce to 1 part water. Savory notes of vinegar and mustard are present along with sautéed onions and peppers. This sauce was on the shelf of every local grocery store in the years before the big national chains came into Louisiana with their national brands. This sauce is perfect for bar-b-que hamburgers, chicken or pork. Works really well with any meat you prefer to have a savory instead of a sweet sauce as an accompaniment. One unique and mostly forgotten use is with grilled King Mackerel; talk about good!
