Comeaux's Pork Tasso is diced pork shoulder meat that has been specially seasoned, marinated, cured and then Hickory smoked to concentrate savory, smoky flavor. Use tasso to transfer seasoning and smoke to vegetables, gumbo, soups and other dishes—just a little goes a long way to spice up favorites. It can be used in place of bacon or salt meat and has less fat. Ready to use as a flavoring ingredient in long-simmered dishes or added toward the end to finish stews and beans.
