A: We here at Cajun grocer are just a distributor of this product we do not manufacturer anything in our warehouse. This would be a question for the manufacturer .

An authentic gumbo of chicken and Andouille sausage simmered in a rich stock and light roux seasoned with our unique blend.

Cooking Directions: Place bag in a pot of cold water and bring to a rolling boil. Allow bag to boil for approximately 10-15 minutes or until contents reach 165 F. Open carefully and serve.

The flavors and spices used in this gumbo are authentic. It's rare to find a ready-made gumbo from a store, but this one is good. It was a fantastic way to introduce my friends and family to the rich culinary traditions of Louisiana.

I tried the as an alternative to several other frozen gumbos on the site. It had the best flavor over the competition. The gumbo was a bit thinner than the rest, which is my preference. The product was the k with dark meat chicken, less so with the andouille. I came to cajun food in my 30's. I suspect that it I like Italian food which I/ grew up with. You tend to set the bar by your early experience. I would patronize a restaurant if this were their gumbo. I live in SW FL, so this is the ticket for me.

This had a good flavor, but the Chicken and Andouille was a little lacking. It would make a good base as a starter for a Gumbo where you could add more ingredients to it. But on another note, Cajun Grocer always has the best and fastest shipping. Everything arrived fast and in good condition. Everything was frozen solid as a rock!
