Our Select grade is a mix of large and medium crawfish (Select 11/16 count per lb). This 30 lb sack is shipped in a reusable cooler with gel packs and includes the live crawfish only (seasoning not included). Orders must be received before 11:00 AM CST to ship the next day via FedEx Priority Next Day (arrives by 12:00 PM noon in most areas). Select delivery is available for Friday and Saturday only. Expect normal dead-loss of about 4–5 lbs per sack in January–March and June, and about 2–4 lbs per sack in warmer months. A 20% restocking fee applies to cancellations after an order is placed.

Product description

How to keep and prepare

Store in cooler with drain open; place sealed bag of ice on top and keep cool.
Purge: hose sack, empty into tub, sprinkle one 16 oz can table salt, cover with water 8–10 minutes, drain and repeat 1–2 times.
Boil: fill pot to cover, add seasoning mix, bring to rolling boil, add crawfish, boil 5 minutes, turn off heat and soak 15–25 minutes to desired spice.

We cannot ship live crawfish to HI, WA, MI, IL, WI, PA, MN, or OR without permits; Colorado allowed. If your state restricts live shipments, boiled crawfish may be available.

Purchased the Selects from Cajun last year. First time, late season. The best crawfish I've ever had. May have had 6 or 8 dead crawfish out of the entire sack. Locally, here in the Panhandle of Florida, that number is well north of 20 dead bugs, smashed, per sack. Normal Ops. Cajun takes care of the fish. They arrive on time, and are worth the expense, if you really like crawfish, not just throwing a "boil". Premium Boil is what I would call them. Preparing to order my first sack of the year. Looking forward to them.

Q: Is there an option for select live crawfish to be delivered on Saturday May 13?

A: Yes, when purchasing live crawfish we ask the customer what date you would like the crawfish to be shipped out. The delivery date would be the following day. You would choose Friday shipment for Saturday delivery.

Q: Are these select crawfish purged already?

A: The crawfish do come pre washed but we do not purge them. It varies season to season. Some seasons we do have already purged options available and it will specify in the description.

Q: Can you do 15-20lbs instead of 30? I’m having a small slumber party & want to do a crawfish boil for my birthday.

A: At this time we are only offering 30lb sacks.
