Boiling seafood (3 easy steps)
- Fill a large pot with enough water to cover seafood. Add LA Fish Fry Crawfish, Shrimp & Crab Boil, stir and bring to a rolling boil.
- Add seafood and return to a rolling boil. Boil as indicated: crawfish 5 min, shrimp 3 min, crabs 15 min.
- Turn off heat and let seafood soak 15–25 minutes; longer soak increases spice level.
Steaming & ice chest method
- Steaming: Use a raised rack about 2" high, add water just below rack, bring to a boil, cover and when steam escapes add seafood; steam shrimp 8–10 min, crabs or crawfish 10–12 min.
- Ice chest: Layer seafood, sprinkling each layer with seasoning, cover and let stand 12 minutes.
