Basic preparation
- Use a 3‑quart saucepan with 4-1/2 cups water or unsalted stock and 4 tablespoons tomato sauce.
- Add a 15 oz can of whole kernel or creamed corn and 1/2 pound of meat or seafood (optional).
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat after 1 minute and simmer 15 minutes or until any added potatoes are tender. Stir occasionally and season to taste.
