Ragin Cajun Fixin's Jambalaya Mix 8 oz

Stovetop Preparation (serves 4–5)

• Saute 1 lb smoked sausage, seafood, chicken, pork or beef in 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a 2½ quart pot (seafood and smoked sausage need not be pre-cooked). Chop into bite-size pieces and drain.
• Add the 8 oz package, 1 tbsp butter or margarine, and 2½ cups water. Stir and bring to a boil.
• Cover and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove from heat and let stand covered 5 minutes before serving.

Instant Pot / High Pressure Cooker

Follow manufacturer instructions. Sauté 1 lb meat with the sauté function, cancel, add 2½ cups water or stock, the jambalaya mix, 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil (optional). Manual high pressure 12 minutes; natural release, then fluff.
