Tony Chachere's Instant Roux Mix is a 10 oz (283.5 g) lightly seasoned mix for making roux, brown gravy or gumbo base. The mix is fat free. To prepare a roux, whisk 1 cup of mix with 2 cups cool water over medium heat, bring to a boil, then remove when thickened. For brown gravy, mix 2 tablespoons with 1 cup cool water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook 1 minute to thicken.
