Handling & Thawing
Keep product frozen until ready to use. Slowly defrost in the refrigerator for approximately 3 to 3½ days before roasting. Thawing instructions: remove from box, place in a pan & thaw in the refrigerator about 3½ days. Quick thaw: leave wrapper on and place in cold water for 6–8 hours.
Cooking & Serving
- Product weight: 15 lbs.
- USDA inspected; vacuum sealed for freshness.
- Bake: preheat oven to 350°F; place thawed bird breast side up in a greased roasting pan, tent with foil; bake approx. 3½–4 hours or until skin is golden brown, basting with butter occasionally.
- After baking, discard foil and allow to rest 45–60 minutes before transferring and carving. Serves approximately 14–18 people.
