Zatarain's Black-Eyed Peas & Rice Mix, 7 oz

Zatarain's Black-Eyed Peas & Rice is a 7 oz mix featuring long grain parboiled rice and pre-cooked black-eyed peas seasoned with red and green bell pepper, garlic and other spices. Prepared and on the table in less than 30 minutes, it can be served as a side dish or made into a one-pot meal by adding ½ lb cooked sausage, chicken or vegetables. The mix is gluten free, contains no artificial flavors or colors from artificial sources, and no MSG added*. Prep tip: can be made on the stove top or in the microwave. Stove top directions: mix 2½ cups water, Rice Mix, your choice of meat and 2 tbsp butter in a 3‑quart saucepan, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 25 minutes until rice is tender; let stand 5 minutes and fluff before serving.
