Stove Top Instructions
Mix 6 cups water, Gumbo Base and 2 tbsp oil in a 4-quart saucepan until well blended and lumps are dissolved. For chicken or sausage gumbo: stir in meat, bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes. For seafood gumbo: bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes; stir in seafood and simmer 10–15 minutes more until cooked through.
