Simple boiling directions
- Package seasons: 4 lb shrimp, 3 lb crawfish, or 6–8 crabs.
- Place 2 quarts water and contents of package into a large cooking container, stir and bring to a rolling boil.
- Add seafood, stir, cover tightly and return to boil. If seafood is not covered, add additional water.
Cook and soak times
- Crawfish: Cook 2 minutes; Hot soak 15–20 minutes; Zesty cool 15–20 minutes.
- Crabs: Cook 5 minutes; Hot soak 15–20 minutes; Zesty cool 15–20 minutes.
- Shrimp: Cook 1 minute; Hot soak 2–5 minutes; Zesty cool 2–5 minutes.
Drain carefully and serve.
