Ingredients: Enriched Long Grain Parboiled Rice (Rice, Iron, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Folic Acid).

Directions:

Instructions: Measurements: 1 1/2 Cups Cooked Rice: 1/2 rice (cups); 1 water (cups); 1 tsp. butter or margarine, optional; 1/4 tsp. salt, optional. 3 1/2 Cups Cooked Rice: 1 rice (cups); 2 water (cups); 2 tsp. butter or margarine, optional; 1/2 tsp. salt, optional. 5 Cups Cooked Rice: 1 1/2 rice (cups); 3 water (cups); 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, optional; 3/4 tsp. salt, optional. 9 Cups Cooked Rice: 2 1/2 rice (full bag); 5 water (cups); 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, optional; 1 tsp. salt, optional. For best results: For firmer rice, use less water and simmer for a shorter time. For softer rice, use more water and simmer a longer time. Do not lift lid during cooking (the steam cooks the rice). To retain Vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking.


Stove Top Directions:

  1. bring water to boil in saucepan. Add butter or margarine and salt, if desired.
  2. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the water is absorbed.
  3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.

Microwave Directions:

  1. Mix 2 1/2 cups water and 1 cup rice in microwavable bowl. Add 2 tsp. butter or margarine and 1/2 tsp. salt, if desired. Cover.
  2. Microwave on high 5 minutes. Stir. Microwave on medium (50% power) 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the water is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
  3. Let stand in microwave 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Microwave ovens vary; adjust cooking times as needed. Cooking are based on an 1100 watt microwave oven. Caution: Bowl and contents will be very hot. Use pot holder when removing from microwave.
