Stovetop Preparation
- If using whole chicken, pre-cook; cut boneless chicken into pieces.
- Combine 2 lbs chicken and 1 lb smoked Cajun sausage with 2 quarts water or chicken stock in a 4 quart pot.
- Add the 5 oz package of Gumbo Ready Mix and stir well. Cover and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until meat is fully cooked. Serve over rice.
