Baked Grits

 

 

Ingredients:  

  • 2 cups yellow grits (not the instant kind) cooked according to package directions
  • 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 lb freshly grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Paprika 

Steps: 

To the cooked grits, add the eggs, cheese, milk and butter. Season to taste. Cook, stirring, until all is blended and the cheese and butter are completely melted. Pour into a 2-quart baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with paprika before serving. Makes about 10 servings.
